The “Perfecter”.

Beautiful, semi-wrathful, and white in color.

Two arms, one face, and three piercing eyes representing the ‘three doors of liberation’.

Sits in sattva-paryanka posture with left knee raised.

Sits on a white moon disc and a red lotus placed on a miraculously born bull.

From A comes a yellow Tara.

Right Hand: Holds a trident-spear, the three points of which pierce the ‘three poisons’ (ignorance, craving, and aversion) of cyclic existence.

Left Hand: Holds a pearl rosary in front of her heart, symbolizing inexhaustible compassion.

Wears gold ornaments, a tiger-skin loincloth, and a flayed human skin as an upper garment.

Crowned by Ratnasambhava Buddha.

Works:

Overcomes fears caused by demonic possession, zombies, and yaksha spirits.

Her rituals relate to ‘sky-going, aiming to reach the Pure Land of Akanistha in this lifetime.

Variations:

May be depicted in ardha-paryanka posture with either left or right foot lowered.

Wearing an upper garment of silk rather than a flayed human skin.

Holding a five-skull crown, or with trident and pearl rosary in left and right hands, respectively.
